How the Service Works

1

First Meeting

Meet with our team face to face to discuss your investment goals, financial circumstances and attitude to risk. If more convenient, we can arrange the meeting at your home. Together, we establish the investment strategy and risk limits that will guide the management of your portfolio.

2

Portfolio Management Agreement

Your investment strategy, the scope of authority granted to our team and the applicable fees are set out in a written portfolio management agreement. You sign the agreement and its annexes during a face-to-face meeting, completing the application process.

3

Day-to-Day Management

Our experienced portfolio management team makes day-to-day investment decisions on your behalf, buying and selling assets in line with the agreed strategy and risk limits. These agreed parameters provide the framework for managing your portfolio as market conditions evolve.

Advantages of Discretionary Portfolio Management at Neo Menkul

Expert Portfolio Team

An experienced team manages your portfolio on your behalf.

Strategy Tailored to You

Before you sign, you can read the framework of the strategy and the authorities in the agreement.

Who It's For

Discretionary portfolio management is designed for investors who prefer to leave day-to-day investment decisions to professionals rather than monitor the markets themselves. You can meet us at our head office or arrange a meeting at your preferred location. Applications must be completed in person. Corporate applicants must also provide their signature circular and relevant authorisation documents.

Before You Start

Professional portfolio management does not eliminate investment risk. Your portfolio’s value will fluctuate with market conditions and may rise or fall over time. Positive performance can be followed by periods of loss, and no return can be guaranteed under capital markets legislation. It’s important to understand and be comfortable with these risks before proceeding.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the discretionary portfolio management service, and who can use it?

The management of your portfolio is handed over to a team under a written agreement. The service is for investors who don't have the time to follow the market or who would rather leave this work to a professional.

Who makes the decisions about my portfolio?

Once the agreement is signed, the portfolio management team makes the buy and sell decisions, within the agreed strategy and risk limits. If you want to change the framework, you and the team update the agreement together.

Which asset classes make up my portfolio?

The asset allocation is determined by the strategy and risk limits set out in the portfolio management agreement. The limits are settled at the first meeting.

How is the portfolio management fee calculated?

Your portfolio management fee and how it is calculated are set out in your written portfolio management agreement, alongside the investment strategy and the scope of authority granted to your portfolio manager. Please refer to your agreement for details of the applicable fees and calculation method.

How can I track my portfolio's performance?

Regular reports show your assets and how your portfolio is developing. Past returns are not an indicator of future performance.

Is a return guaranteed?

No. Under capital markets legislation, no return can be guaranteed. Your portfolio's value changes with market conditions.

What is the minimum investment amount?

For details of the minimum investment required, please contact our team. We’ll be happy to discuss your needs during an initial face-to-face meeting.

Can I make a partial or full withdrawal from my portfolio?

The conditions that apply here are set out in the portfolio management agreement. Before you sign the agreement, you can ask our sales team for details.
